Cape Fear CREW, the leading organization for women in commercial real estate in the Cape Fear region, welcomes
Jonathan Biggs, Vice President – Director of Risk Management & Education for Investors Title Insurance Company, for a program regarding Financial Fraud on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach. Five years ago, terms like Wire Fraud, Ransomware, Phishing, Social Engineering and Cyber Breach were not part of the real estate world’s everyday vocabulary. Today, all of these things are a daily reality for everyone handling any part of a real estate closing – or even just using a computer or cell phone. Jonathan will share scenarios of how cyber fraud and wire fraud threaten you, your clients and your business. He will also share how to protect yourself from these daily threats and what to do in the event you are a victim of cyber fraud. Members and guests are welcome. Tickets are $25 and are available
here. All Cape Fear CREW in-person events will be governed by COVID-19 state and venue guidelines at that time.
Please note that Cape Fear CREW will hold a brief annual business meeting prior to the program start.
Jon Biggs oversees risk management functions related to Investors Title’s approved provider system.
