Andy Mitwol is the President of Mitwol Capital Group, a commercial real estate acquisition group that focuses on opportunities in the Carolinas across different assets outside of traditional development. He has been working in commercial real estate for the past 15 years throughout the Southeast.
Growing up, Andy worked with the family business where he learned all facets involved in finding success. He decided to take his business background to owners to help them grow their business which led him to focus on retail commercial real estate. Andy received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Communications at the University of Florida and served as the Gator Expo Homecoming Director while enrolled. He was also a member of the University of Florida Blue Key, the oldest and most prestigious leadership honorary in the state of Florida. After college he began working for an investment brokerage group in Atlanta and was honored by the Commercial Board of Realtors to the Million Dollar Club in 2008. During his time in Atlanta he also worked for a Walgreens & Publix developer.
In 2012, Andy decided to return to Wilmington, his childhood hometown, and partner with a group based in Charleston, SC, doing retail commercial development in the Southeast. He is now President of the Mitwol Capital Group, which was started in October of 2019.
Andy has always been passionate about making a difference and enjoys collaborating with others to make improvements to his community. Through involvement in several organizations, he has enjoyed helping others and making a positive impact on those around him. He has served on the board for the Brigade Boys and Girls Club and the Schwartz Center Renovation Committee Board Member since returning to Wilmington. When he is not working or volunteering, the coast provides him with the perfect setting for his interests. He enjoys playing golf, running, or can be found boating in our waterways. He also loves to travel to new places and experience different cultures.
Andy attended last year’s Cape Fear CREW Awards of Excellence and had such a wonderful experience that he wanted to join the organization. He is excited to continue networking and having community involvement as a member of Cape Fear CREW.
